What are your thoughts?

I am a 20 year old male and I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. The problem is the mother isn't very co-operative. She is rather mean, but she has custody. She is stirring up some really serious accusations with authorities and child services about my family and is a real pain whenever I want to see my daughter. I am thinking about giving up full custody to her for a couple years so I can focus on my future military career and eventually try and take her back. I want to know if anyone thinks I would be a bad person for doing this. Its really eating me up inside.
