HOW CAN I HELP HIM?!?! 10 points for best answer?

my boyfriend lost his dad about a month ago from cancer and he has been goin through a hard time with it. he doeesnt want to go to work, hang out with friends, or even talk to me. he said that he likes to be alone, but i dont think that its healthy for him to be alone as much as he is. he's gone to the Dr. and is takin meds for depression, but i dont feel like they're helpin him. all i want to do is help, but idk how cause i cant PHYSICALLY be there for him like i would like to be... PLEASE HELP!! how do i help him without physically being there for him?? any more advice on helping him with depression would help ALOT..
